Medellín is known as the city of eternal spring, but that poetic nickname conceals a real challenge for makeup. With relative humidity oscillating between 60% and 80%, temperatures that can shift from 18 degrees in the morning to 30 by midday, and intense ultraviolet radiation due to its altitude of nearly 1,500 meters, this city demands a strategic approach to keep makeup looking impeccable throughout the entire day.

Humidity is makeup's number one enemy in Medellín. When the air is heavy with moisture, foundations tend to slide, eyeshadows crease, and lipsticks lose their definition within hours. My first rule is always to start with a mattifying primer that controls sebum production and creates a barrier between the skin and makeup products. Silica-based primers are particularly effective in Medellín's climate because they absorb excess humidity without drying out the skin.
